This graphic (and the table to the right) is generated every six hours by the tide program, using London Bridge as a base and an offset of 40 minutes (high tide) and 100 minutes (low tide). Any comments, gratefully received.

This page is still reasonably beta at the moment, I've made a few assumptions and I'm not entirely convinced these are correct - any additional information, hints, tips and corrections is most welcome.

Other sources of information

The PLA have live tide height information.

Mortlake Anglian and Alpha Boat Club also have a page of tide times - it's a big list rather than a graphic and applicable for Mortlake's boathouse (100yds upstream of Chiswick Bridge), but with offsets for other spots on the Tideway.

David Biddulph draws together various sources for a look at River Thames conditions.

For a more up to the minute view of the Tideway's conditions, London RC have a webcam pointing at the river (which is actually defunct at the moment).

There is also this view of the London Eye or this, from the BBC, of the Palace of Westminster.

Disclaimer

Please note: this is only a prediction! While the tides are generally predictable their heights and precise times are subject to a multitude of other factors. The assumptions made here mean that the graphic and table presented are, more or less, in the right area, but don't go using the information for anything important. If you need to know the tide times, talk to the PLA.

The Thames Flood Barrier (or the unofficial page) sometimes affects the tides in playful and curious ways ... and the scheduled closures of the barriers do now seem to be publicised on the web - generally once a month for a few hours in the morning.
